Temporal Frame

The Temporal Frame tool generates sequential video frames that maintain consistency with a reference keyframe. It's built for animation pipelines, motion design, and video production workflows.
Infer a believable later beat that follows naturally from the current frame.
Predict a continuous frame roughly 3 seconds away from the current image.
When to Use Temporal Frame
- Animation in-betweens — generate intermediate frames between keyframes
- Video extensions — create lead-in or lead-out frames for smoother edits
- Motion design — preview movement trajectories and timing
- Loop creation — generate frames for seamless video loops
How to Access
Select an image node (your keyframe) and click the Temporal Frame button in the toolbar. The panel shows frame count, direction, and motion description fields.
Settings
Frame Count: How many frames to generate before or after the keyframe. More frames create longer sequences but require more processing time.
Direction: Choose whether to generate frames before the keyframe (leading in), after the keyframe (leading out), or both.
Motion Description: Describe what happens between frames. For example, "a hand reaches across the table and picks up a cup" describes the motion the AI should interpolate or extrapolate.
Output
The tool generates each frame as a separate image node on the canvas, connected in sequence. You can preview them as a flipbook directly in the interface.
Tips for Consistency
- Start with a clear keyframe — the reference frame should be well-composed and detailed
- Keep motion simple for short frame counts
- Describe incremental motion — break complex actions into small movements
- Check the first and last frames for drift; regenerate with stronger constraints if needed
- Use consistent character positioning — the AI preserves character design but may drift over many frames
Best Practices
- Use Temporal Frame together with the video node type for full preview
- Generate 4-8 frame sequences for quick motion tests
- For longer sequences, generate in batches and composite in a video editor
