Grid Reorder

Rearrange image cells by swapping their positions in the grid.

The Grid Reorder tool lets you divide an image into a grid and rearrange the cells by swapping their positions. This is useful for recomposing images that were generated as a grid, allowing you to move content between cells without re-generating.

Click a cell, then click another to swap

How to Access

Select an image node, open the Grid Split tool from the toolbar, and choose Grid Reorder from the menu. A dialog opens with the image split into a grid.

Controls

  • Columns / Rows — set the number of columns and rows (1–5). The grid adjusts in real time.
  • Click to Swap — click a cell to select it (highlighted with a blue border), then click another cell to swap their contents.
  • Reset — restore the original cell order.

When to Use

Grid Reorder is especially useful when working with AI-generated image grids. Some generation workflows produce multiple variations in a grid layout — you can rearrange the best outputs into your preferred order without starting over.

Apply the changes to create a new image node with the rearranged grid. The original node remains unchanged.
