Character Three-View
Generate front, side, and back views of a character with consistent style.
The Character Three-View tool generates a character sheet with front, side, and back views in a consistent art style. It's an essential tool for character designers, game artists, and illustrators.
When to Use Character Three-View
- Character design — establish a character's full appearance for approval
- Game asset pipelines — provide reference sheets for 3D modelers
- Animation — create turnaround references for animators
- Concept art — explore and finalize character proportions
How to Access
Select an image node and click the Character Three-View button in the toolbar. The panel opens with fields for character description and style settings.
Input Fields
Character Description: Describe the character in detail — age, build, clothing, accessories, facial features, and any distinguishing marks. The more detail you provide, the more consistent the three views will be.
Style Reference: Specify the art style — realistic, anime, cartoon, pixel art, or describe a specific aesthetic. You can also reference an existing image node as a style guide.
Understanding the Output
The tool generates a single image with three panels:
- Front view — the character facing forward, arms typically at sides
- Side view — profile view, usually facing right
- Back view — the character from behind, showing back details
All three panels maintain consistent proportions, color palette, and style.
Tips for Consistency
- Describe clothing from all angles — mention back details like hoods or belts
- Specify height proportions — "eight heads tall" for heroic proportions
- Include color specifications — "blue jacket, black pants, brown boots"
- For accessories, describe how they look from the side and back
- Use the same character across multiple generations to refine the design
Best Practices
- Start with a clear front-view reference before generating the three-view
- Iterate on the description if views don't match
- Use the output as a turnaround reference for 3D modeling
- Combine with Multi-View Grid for detailed expression and pose explorations
