Team Collaboration

Team collaboration in Musein is more than sending a canvas to someone else. The current workflow covers team creation, team switching, team points management, and canvas handoff between personal and team scopes.

How to create a team

You can create a team directly from the team switcher surface. The creation flow supports:

• team name
• team description
• team avatar
• an option to top up team points right after creation

If you keep the top-up option enabled, the product can continue into the points transfer flow immediately after the team is created.

How team switching works

The team switcher is more than a simple dropdown. It also acts as a lightweight control panel where you can:

• see the current active team
• switch between multiple teams
• view the current team points summary
• open the member invite entry
• jump to team management or team benefits

This makes it easier to move between different workspaces without breaking your editing flow.

How team points are managed

The team benefits area is the main place for managing shared team points. The currently available capabilities include:

• points overview for total and available points
• transaction history for balance changes over time
• member usage filtered by date range to understand who consumed points

If you are the team owner, you can also move points across scopes:

• transfer points from your personal balance into the team
• withdraw team points back to the owner
• transfer points between teams owned by the same owner

This gives teams a practical way to share budget while still keeping visibility into usage and history.

Sharing Canvases

The share menu provides three options for sharing your work:

• Share by link — generate a share link that is copied to your clipboard. Anyone with the link can view the canvas.
• Publish as template — make your canvas available as a reusable template for others.
• Transfer ownership — move a canvas between personal and team workspaces.

Ownership Transfer

If you need to move a canvas between personal and team workspaces, use the ownership transfer option:

• Personal to Team — move your personal canvas into a team workspace so collaborators can access it
• Team to Personal — move a team canvas back to your personal workspace

Transfer is available when you own the canvas and it meets the scope requirements for transfer.

Undo/Redo for Safe Editing

The canvas supports undo and redo via the toolbar buttons or keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl + Z / Ctrl + Shift + Z). The undo history is maintained in memory during your session, giving you confidence to experiment and revert changes as needed.
