Canvas Templates

Publish canvases as templates, browse the template library, and apply templates to new projects.

·Musein Team

Canvas templates let you save a canvas structure as a reusable starting point. Instead of building the same workflow from scratch every time, publish it as a template and apply it in one click.

Publishing a Canvas as Template

Any canvas can be published as a template. When you publish, the following elements are preserved:

  • Node layout and structure
  • Connection wiring between nodes
  • Prompts and settings stored in each node
  • Node type assignments and configurations

What is not included in the template: generated assets, uploaded files, version history, and share settings. Templates capture the blueprint, not the output.

To publish, open the canvas menu and select "Publish as Template". Add a name, description, and preview thumbnail before publishing.

Real template publishing dialog in embedded mode. Upload fields stay interactive, but the demo does not submit.

Browsing the Template Library

The template library is accessible from the project dashboard. You can browse templates in several ways:

  • Featured — curated templates highlighted by the Musein team
  • Recent — newly published templates
  • By category — grouped by use case such as character design, video production, or audio processing
  • By creator — templates from specific users or teams

Each template card shows the name, author, a preview of the node structure, and the number of times it has been applied.

Applying a Template

To apply a template, click "Use Template" on any template card. A new canvas is created instantly with all the nodes and connections from the template applied.

The new canvas is fully editable. Nodes contain placeholders where you can customize prompts, and you can add, remove, or rearrange nodes as needed. The template is a starting point, not a locked structure.

Community Templates

In addition to your own templates and team templates, the library includes community templates published by other Musein users. Community templates expand your options with workflows designed by creators around the world.

You can filter the library to show only community templates, or browse all templates together. Each template credits the original author.

Managing Your Templates

Your published templates appear in your profile under "My Templates". From there you can:

  • Edit the template name, description, or thumbnail
  • Update the template to reflect changes from the source canvas
  • Unpublish a template to remove it from the library

Unpublishing removes the template from the library for new users. Existing canvases created from the template are unaffected.
